Buying original art from the Canary Islands: shipping and FAQs

Buying directly from the artist should feel clear. This guide answers the practical questions that often arise before choosing a painting, watercolour, woodcut or sculpture from Maria Betancor Studio.

Is the artwork I receive an original?

Yes. Every product page states the technique and whether the work is unique or an original signed and numbered print. A photographic reproduction is never presented as an original artwork.

Is the frame included?

Only when the product page expressly says so. Framed images of works on paper may be visualisations that show scale and context. The current watercolours and woodcuts are shipped unframed, flat and protected.

Where is the artwork shipped from?

Works are prepared in Tenerife, Canary Islands. Each piece is packed individually according to its technique, dimensions and support. Product pages state a usual preparation time of 3–7 business days.

Is worldwide shipping available?

Yes. International destinations are active. Select your country during checkout to see the applicable rate and final total before payment. Read the full shipping policy.

Do I need to create an account?

No. You can buy as a guest through the secure checkout. Your address and email are requested to process payment, prepare the shipment and provide tracking updates.

Can I return an artwork?

Ready-made available works can be returned within the published 14-day period. They must retain their condition and protection. See the complete returns policy.

What happens when a unique work is sold?

Inventory is updated in the shop. Once a unique work is sold out, it is no longer available to buy; a second unit that does not exist is never offered.

Can I ask a question before buying?

Yes. Use the contact page to confirm materials, scale, packing or any detail about the artwork.
